christmas fun with lots of cousins

We spent the day before Christmas Eve with my first in laws, the W family.  Since I haven’t yet written an “about me”, I should explain that my first husband died when our boys were one and three back in 1998.  I married G five years later and he became a wonderful dad to Alec and Mason.  The W family treats him like he’s their son in law.  So we had a great time with our big family with lots of kids running around and lots of pictures to take!

We sang carols and the children acted out the Christmas story as Papa read it out loud.

Then we opened presents.

Alec was a little worried at first that there was an actual snuggie in this box.  He was relieved to discover a Dr. Pepper t-shirt instead.IMG_6039e46wbw

I gave L and N a photo book of all 11 of their grandchildren.  After all, I have tons of pictures of them.

We are blessed to be a part of this wonderful family!

  2. How fun and what great photos! I love the crispness of the foreground vs. the background. I love my easy to use digital camera for quick pix of my grandkids, but someday, I'd love to learn more about it so I can do things like that - when granny nanny duties aren't as busy-ing. :)

  6. Deb your shots are great! Your family is precious! I love that you gave them a photobook. I do the same thing every year and our parents LOVE them! I make a book a month for our family. With 7 adopted children it helps them remember and build their story of God's gift of a family forever!

    Happy New Year!

  8. Looks like you had a most wonderful Christmas! :)

Photo books make the best gifts for the grandparents. I love that they bring it out to show whenever they have company over. :)
