christmas fun with lots of cousins

We spent the day before Christmas Eve with my first in laws, the W family.  Since I haven’t yet written an “about me”, I should explain that my first husband died when our boys were one and three back in 1998.  I married G five years later and he became a wonderful dad to Alec and Mason.  The W family treats him like he’s their son in law.  So we had a great time with our big family with lots of kids running around and lots of pictures to take!

We sang carols and the children acted out the Christmas story as Papa read it out loud.

Then we opened presents.

Alec was a little worried at first that there was an actual snuggie in this box.  He was relieved to discover a Dr. Pepper t-shirt instead.IMG_6039e46wbw

I gave L and N a photo book of all 11 of their grandchildren.  After all, I have tons of pictures of them.

We are blessed to be a part of this wonderful family!

I’m linking up at My 3 Boybarians for Sweet Shot Tuesday.  Click the link below to see more sweet shots.

  1. Great photos. Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. I love that last photo.

  2. How fun and what great photos! I love the crispness of the foreground vs. the background. I love my easy to use digital camera for quick pix of my grandkids, but someday, I'd love to learn more about it so I can do things like that - when granny nanny duties aren't as busy-ing. :)

  3. Oh, these were all so awesome Deb! So many wonderful memories here.

    The lighting is just perfect!

I can see how much joy that photobook brought!

    Love blogging with you♥

  4. I love Josie's apron - gorgeous! And the kids look so adorable reenacting the Christmas story. I'm glad you had such a great day!

  5. What a wonderful family! It looks like you all had a great time.

I would be very interested in an about me page. :)

  6. Deb your shots are great! Your family is precious! I love that you gave them a photobook. I do the same thing every year and our parents LOVE them! I make a book a month for our family. With 7 adopted children it helps them remember and build their story of God's gift of a family forever!

    Happy New Year!

  7. You look blessed indeed! So fun seeing all the Christmas photos...totally makes me smile :)

  8. Looks like you had a most wonderful Christmas! :)

Photo books make the best gifts for the grandparents. I love that they bring it out to show whenever they have company over. :)

  9. We did live nativity scenes every year growing up so it made me smile to see your fam acting out the Christmas story! Looks like it was a blast. Thanks also for stopping by!

  10. Deb, how can I express the joy in my heart as I relive our family Christmas celebration! I am
receiving many blessings as I share the book of our
precious Grandchildren! I shared it with Faye Grotsma and her daughter's family, who moved from LA to TN and haven't seen our family in a long time! Can't wait to share it with others!!! Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words! THANKS SO MUCH! God is so good!!!
    Love you,

  11. Awesome shots! Aren't photo books the best presents?!

  12. I smiled my way through these! So much love and joy captured in those photos!

Thanks for stopping by my Sweet Shot Tuesday post...and, no, I'm still hunting for the "perfect" bag. TJ Maxx is callin' my name! ;o)
