2. fog – I went way back in my archives to find a fog photo and actually, it’s not even really fog. It’s steam coming off one of the hot springs in Yellowstone back in 2007. See how little the boys were back then! This trip is the reason I bought my first dslr, although I did leave it on auto for over two years.

3. button – A jar of colorful buttons that I keep on my desk.

4. beverage/drink – a photo that I also used for foto friday’s reflections theme because I like the way the flowers from the placemat are reflected back onto the cup.

5. seventies – My grandmother made this very seventies looking afghan for me when I was ten in 1976. Back then, I thought it was kind of ugly. I tried really hard to look appreciative and like I liked it when she gave it to me. After 30 years, it’s finally grown on me and now I think it’s quite lovely.

Such a lovely selection of photos. Your button shot is fabulous and I love the reflection on the cup too!Glad to see the rug is finally being appreciated. I remember being given a "poncho" that looked very similar. ha ha!
ReplyDeleteLove your botton shot!! And I do remember when those afgans were so popular.. Hope you are having a happy Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteAll the photos are great but I love the coffee shot! That reflection is awesome!
ReplyDeleteButtons and bev are great! The 70's "throws" us all back to that time ;)

ReplyDeleteReally nice work - I really like your texture shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Love button and beverage!!
ReplyDeleteI love the blanket your Grandma made you in 1976. My Grandma had one almost exactly like that. I was born that year : )
ReplyDeleteYour coffee mug shot is incredible. I LOVE the reflection also. Very funky! : ) That almost reminds me of the 70's. Those puffly flowers. Beautiful!
Love your button jar. What a beautiful thing to look at every day. I absolutely LOVE it!
Your pictures are always beautiful Deb. You do amazing work! Have a great week. Love, Becky
Lovely photos Deb. I made my hubby to be one of those blankets back in the 80's - I found crochet easier to do than knitting.
ReplyDeleteI was going to do moss aswell as a texture as I think it just is like velvet and so soft just like what you've achieved in your photo.
Yellowstone is somewhere I would love to visit - in the 70's my favourite cartoon was Yogi Bear and that's where I first learned about Yellowstone.
Your button thumbnail is consistently THE image my eye is drawn to each and every time I come to the main page. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI really like your beverage shot! The reflection on the mug is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGreat focus on your button shot and really like your beverage shot too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, I like your view for the button shot, and the reflection on your coffee cup. The afghan is gorgeous, glad that you kept it.

Your photos are so fun! Love seeing the green...I'm so tired of seeing white!! I love your buttons because the jar almost looks like a big button with the smaller buttons in the middle! Love the reflection on your mug too!
ReplyDeleteTotally LOVE the mug... at first I didn't notice the flowers... that made me love it even more!! =)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your "seventies" afghan. My mom made lots of those and so did my great-grandmother. Your button shot is just brilliant. I took a bunch of photos of moss last year since we had some growing in our yard - I kind of miss it, it makes awesome macro shots.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE number 4! Nice contrast.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the button shot!!! I think it is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I really like your texture shot and the reflection in your beverage shot is very cool.

LOVE all your shots!! That button one is AWESOME!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had some similar ones this week. I had moss but yours was much closer. ha ha. Do you have a macro lens?
ReplyDeleteBasically, I love all of these. Maybe the jar of buttons a tiny bit more. But they are really all fantastic!
