lucky

We’ve been really lucky this spring with the most beautiful weather.  It’s the kind of weather that’s perfect for playing some basketball outside with your cousins.

On Tuesday I came across a blog post at my take on photography that really got my attention.  I thought it was amazing how she and her three year old daughter both picked four leaf clovers on the same day without even trying.  They just reached down and picked random clovers and ended up getting lucky!  I have never found a four leaf clover in my entire life.  I admit I haven’t put much effort into it as an adult, but I spent lots of time trying to find one when I was a kid.  I think I have a tendency to look at the big picture and not the minute details of a scene.  Anyway, after reading that post I was in the backyard and noticed a patch of clover.  I scanned the patch and saw something that looked different.  I reached down and picked a five leaf clover!  I guess I will have to keep trying because I still haven’t found that elusive four leafer!

  1. Fantastic shots! I really love how clear your basketball shots are. How wonderful to have such a big family and wonderful weather to play basketball. (Your capture's would be perfect for "Theme Thursdays Active" *wink)

I have yet to find a four leaf clover myself. I'm not sure if it is the patience I'm lacking or the luck! Happy Friday Deb!

  8. great photos! The first time I found a 4 leaf clover was when I was 19 I had just Moved 4 hours away from home. I just moved again and finished unpacking and last night I open up a notebook and come across that very same 4 leaf clover. For me that one came fairly easy i looked down on the ground and saw it and picked it up ever since i just kept trying to find one, on occasions i will find one after looking hard enough! Thanks for sharing. cant wait till my little monster gets to the age where he can play basketball with all his cousins

I found many four leaf clovers growing up. We had lots of clover in our yard. I haven't looked for years. Your lovely image gives me the incentive to.
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

  22. Fun photos! I don't think I've ever seen a five leaf clover - found a four leaf once when I was a kid. I wonder if it's a specific species or something that's more prone to four leafs? We had a "lawn" that was 90% clover when we were kids, and we spent HOURS looking for four leafs!
