Gary and I had a fun weekend getaway in Biloxi which is a small town on the gulf coast of Mississippi. It's a great place for having fun with a camera.
Although we didn't really play on the beach like we do when the boys are with us, I did enjoy the scenery.

Biloxi has the only lighthouse that sits in the middle of a four lane highway. It's an interesting fact, but it doesn't make for a very pretty background. I helped it out a little with some textures.
This is the before~
The theme for texture tuesday is people so I played around with one of my favorites of the boys from our family beach trip a few weeks ago.
So picturesque! Looks like a lovely place for a weekend away, hope you and Gary had a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the textures. Biloxi -- that's such a strange name -- I wonder if it's from a Native American language?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful water shots - the second one of the boats with the lovely pink sky is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBut your shot of your boys racing towards the sea, now that is precious as well as being a lovely photo.

What beautiful shots! Sounds like a fabulously relaxing time...quality one on one time is so great!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love, love that shot of the sun setting in the harbor with the boats. it stood out so much to me. It should be framed and sold. So should the white fence along the beach shot. :)

ReplyDeleteLove the texture on the lighthouse! That certainly is an interesting place to put one!
ReplyDelete"It's frustrating to me how few shots I get that I really really love". It's same with me. But you know what, I hope that means that our standards are really (really) high. LOL
ReplyDeleteBTW I really really like your edited lighthouse. Be proud of it and frame it! :)
The lighthouse is remarkable!!!! And of course, I'm drawn to the sailboats and water ... sigh ....
