1. Fruit - Let's face it. Bananas are not photogenic. I tried anyway and predictably, my shots were boring. The good news is that I was finally motivated to learn how to apply a texture. It's been on my to do list for a while. Why did I wait so long? It's easy!

2. Long Exposure - I remembered the perfect shot for this prompt from last summer's trip to Arkansas. The shutter speed is 1/30 so the movement of the water is nice and blurred.

5. Childhood Memory - I scanned in a bunch of my parents' slides last year. This is a 1972 day trip to the New Orleans French Quarter. I was six years old and I remember it being very hard to sit still for what seemed like an eternity.

I LOVE your "Green" shot!
ReplyDeleteTextures could really be addictive, couldn't they? =)
What a great hunt! I really like the childhood memory.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday. xxx
Textures are so time consuming or as Buckeroomama says 'addictive' It's like being in the sweetie shop and not being able to make up my mind what to choose. Your textures were lovely on the photos especially the long exposure one of the water.
ReplyDeleteI would love to scan all of our slides from the 70's.
lovely set - great long exposure shot - I think they could get addictive
ReplyDeleteYou aren't the only one who did bananas this week for 'fruit'. Hehe ;)

I love your fruit shot - about time you used texture. So easy right?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.....you have inspired me to give photoshop a try tonight. It's funny how once you get comfortable with something you put off learning something new. I have tryed layers several times and not sure why I end up closing the program. Silly I know. You made bananas look so interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love that green shot! Very vibrant! Your childhood memory is very nice! I agree, great pants! ;0)

The question now is, when are they going to be back in style?? ~ Love your long exposure! ...btw, love to vacation at Seaside/Watercolor, just a little down the coast from Destin! The beaches in that area are just amazing. Glad you got to get away! Looks like you had a great time :)
