the campfire

When you're at the cabin, you have to have a wiener roast. Alec and Mason worked hard getting the fire going for us. Of course, they loved every minute of it.

I never realized so much went into stacking the sticks just right and starting with the little ones and adding them gradually, etc. I should have known it wasn't easy after all those years of watching Survivor.

That was the most delicious hot dog I've ever had. As soon as we finished eating, it started to rain and put out our fire. That's okay, because the next night we built another fire just so we could make s'mores.

Somehow, I think I've managed to go my entire life without having a s'more. Or at least if I had them at some point, I just don't remember. They were yummy and it was lots of fun making them!
