I took this one with my 24-105mm lens at 24mm. I'm really loving the wide angle lately.

And once they were at the top, I pulled out my iphone for a pic and added an instagram filter... I don't remember which one, maybe amaro or rise? If anyone knows an app that will tell you which filter you used, let me know. That would be handy.
I'm thinking we need to go back to this spot in a couple months when the grass is green on a day when the sky is a vivid blue with just a few white puffy clouds here and there. I can just picture it...
ETA: Thank you to Rosie for letting me know about Webstagram! This site labels each photo in your stream with the filter used. I used rise above, which apparently is my most used filter.

I loved seeing your instagram pics - the road trip looks awesome! Love the angle of the picture of the boys on the levee!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of space, and us as humans in a landscape that your first photo throws up, thank you, so wonderful to look at. Happy Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteOh,Deb I really, really, really love that first shot. It is the perfect capture!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about that first shot! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Deb! I rarely use wide angle, but your photos make me want to try! I'm also at Instagram - you'll find me @rosiegrey - and I found out that you see the filters used on webstagram. You can log in with your instagram log-in at webstagram at your PC (or iPad).
ReplyDeleteThat first photo has such a sense of freedom to it.

ReplyDeleteLove the 1st shot and the edits using instangram. It's a pity they don't have that app for other non iphone phones.
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these shots - great work!
ReplyDeleteThese are SO cute!! Love it :) I just started playing with an android knock-off of instagram and I really like it. Makes me itch for the "Real thing" though.

ReplyDeleteI love both shots but really like the instagram one for the vintagey feel to it. Your boys are lucky that you are documenting their lives. I wish I discovered photography when my kids were younger.

That first shot is amazing! You really should go back when the grass is green. Can't wait to see those shots!
ReplyDeleteLove this. The thought of exploring old plantation houses is the main reason I plan on heading south for my next vacation.

ReplyDeleteWOW- what a fun day Deb. I can't wait to see it with green grass- I bet it's just as amazing
