this or that thursday

Well, everything is back to normal here. The boys are back to school and Gary's back to work and I'm busy trying to catch up on everything I ignored during the holidays. One of those such days when we were all off, we spent some time outside when the weather was perfect. I tried a different perspective (meaning I laid on the ground). And I use my 24-105 f/4. Which do you prefer? Focus on the trees or the leaves in front of me?

  3. I think I like the third, but they all look good.
I did the same thing when I first bought my camera. I never could decide which I liked best. I focused on a bird house sitting in the grass with trees in the background. The birdhouse is one I keep inside my home. I never used it on my blog though.

  4. I think I'll go for the last one, although the first has a mysteryness about it which I like also.

I think the 3rd is my favorite too.

We truly had some gorgeous days last week.

Hope you have a blessed day today!

  6. I love them all Deb, but there is something about trees in the background softly out of focus that I just love. Your first photo is my favourite!

  7. Love them all but the first is my favorite. It gives a sense of mystery about what is into the woods. It's my first time linking up on a Thursday. See you next week!

  10. These are great Deb, I really like your last I'm a sucker for trees lol. I love big trees :)). I also love the angle you have taken these are. Did you get covered in leaves and mud?

  11. Beautiful captures and love the perspective you chose. After yesterday's temp (7 degrees) I kinda wish it was still fall like around here..lol

  12. What gorgeous captures...I definitely prefer the focus on the leaves! It gives such a dreamy effect with the blurred trees in the background.

  15. I love these Deb! I can often be found lying on the ground capturing similar shots.
I like the first and last - they both have a beauty about them. I have one very similar to your last one that I took for blogger and never managed to post (I think I must take too many photos!!!)

  30. Your photos are amazming. I love the ones of the leaves at ground level. I dont' have a camera, but I take pride in being an iphone camera pro, all of my pictures for my blog and for the family are taken with it, so I have to make it work! Thanks again, love the link up and the gorgeous snaps!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Deb - these are all lovely, but personally, I like the focus on the leaves with the trees blurred out! Glad things are getting back to normal in your world, it feels good, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I really like the first shot! Amazing how small changes can totally change the feel of a picture!

    ReplyDelete
  36. They are all gorgeous!! I like them equally, I think! And i hear you with back to normal! I came bck to teach and my mentor teacher has been out all week with a horrid flu, so I've been left alone and in charge, talk about back to reality!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Great perspective! If I had to choose, I'd say the first one, as it gives the shot a bit of mystery as to what's beyond.

  54. Yes! Laying on my stomach is my favorite place to shoot! Not the most comfortable, but by far my favorite POV. I prefer the focus on the leaves in front of you, but honestly these are all gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Three stunning shots and it's difficult to decide on a favorite, but I like the first one. Since I've never laid on the ground to shoot a picture, it must be something I need to try. It does give show an interesting POV. Thank you for the thought provoking post.
