You can see I'm not the only one who likes to use my iphone to take photos.
That grin on Alec's face is only because he's enjoying taunting me by not looking up from his phone for a quick pic. At least I got a smile...
I am so loving my wide angle. I keep my 50mm on my camera most often because I prefer primes and wider apertures, but every time I use my 24-105mm f/4 I wonder why I don't use it more often. This was taken at 24mm while waiting for the tour to start on the front porch.
A peek at the inside of this beautiful home...
And just for fun, I used the CoffeeShop Blog's teeny tiny action on this photo which was taken from the levee across the street. This action has the effect of making buildings look somewhat like toy models.
Gorgeous photos...my sister went there for her honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteWow, the wide angle is perfect for these shots. What a beautiful place you have captured.
ReplyDeleteWow, that place is gorgeous! What a house! Love the teeny shot at the end. :-D

ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent home and what great photos! I noted your comment re. the 50 mm. This is a lens I have not given enough time to. I'm favoring my 85mm/micro very much lately. I believe I'll have to make a switch and see what happens. Again, wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteThat place is beautiful. That first shot is beautiful. Oh, that room with the white floors...swoon! I want to go there.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent building, both inside ad out. I love the impact of the all white room, stunning, although I imagine it would echo whit so empty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tour, thank you Deb.
Oh my..that all white room is quite magnificent. I have a hard time photographing white while still keeping all the details. Would you mind sharing the settings you used? I'm on the never ending quest to learn all! :)
ReplyDeleteKathy

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love old homes.
ReplyDeleteI love them all but really love that white room with the shiny floors... you could shoot for House Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are sooo awesome. I love them. Looks like so much fun. I love wide angles too but I just can't get the sharp focus like with my 50mm.
ReplyDeleteFun! The home looks like a lovely place to visit! I LOVE that bedroom!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Your family seems very relaxed and you enjoyed the glamor.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday, Deb.
I loved seeing the "sneak peaks" on instagram - these are stunning! I just love old mansions - they're so ornate and stately!

I loved this tour. What a magnificent home inside and out! Thanks for bringing us along with you...and thanks for sharing the lens info. My grandma left me some money, so I'm contemplating which lenses to purchase. I believe a 50mm will find its way home. :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Deb! Those interior shots look like they are straight from a decorating magazine! :)
ReplyDeleteThis place is on my "Bucket List" of places I'd like to visit. But incase I don't I'm happy to have visited through your wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an amazing place. I love anything "southern" and love to check out old houses that have history like that. Makes me wish I lived during that time. I'm a huge civil war buff and that plantation makes me think of that time.
