project life: documenting our christmas with design f

It was so much fun making my project life layout for the week of Christmas. Since there were tons of pics from that week I chose to add an insert with lots of extra photos using design f.

For the main layout I included some of my favorites from Christmas and some happenings from after Christmas through the end of the year. I made a collage for December 29th from our visit to the ER for Mason to get staples in his head due to getting elbowed at basketball practice. Since I had a lot to say about that day I used Liz Tamanaha's method for printing on journaling cards. I can fit a lot more words on the cards when I type versus write.

Design f worked great as an insert for this week so that I could include lots of extra photos and journaling from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I used a combination of instagram photos and dslr photos sized to 2.875 by 4". So here's Christmas Eve...

and Christmas Day...

I normally keep things really simple and stick with my project life kit which is awesome on it's own, but since it was Christmas and I didn't plan on doing any other scrapping, I added a little stamping and some letter stickers.

That's the very end of my 2011 project life book. It feels so amazing to have an entire year of memories documented! I'll be sharing more of my 2012 book soon which I'm making using clementine. You can see week 1 here. Or if you want to see all of my project life posts, just click on 'project life' in the menu bar.

Your Project Life looks great and I think I will stick with the kit initially until my confidence builds with it.

  4. That is so special and great! It's nice to ad some flair to a special time! I tend to make apple photo books for super special trips, etc. I am thinking of doing an apple book for my year of teaching! Love how you did this and it has me itching to get my layout sheets so I can actually put it all together!
