But more importantly, they agreed to a mini photo shoot. So I had lots of fun too. See what I mean?
I love this one in black and white. I think I may have to actually print one to frame.
Thanks, guys for having such a good attitude about putting up with my annoying camera on a regular basis. I really do appreciate it.
I had a couple of questions about which lens I used so I'm editing to add all shots were taken with my 85mm 1.8 with the aperture set at 1.8. If you have a crop factor camera this would be equivalent to a 50mm lens.

Great photos deb! What nice kids to humor their mom. Mine have been on a camera break and I am itching to take their photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos Deb- your boys are growing so quickly into such handsome young men. Certainly the kind of boys I like to see my son hanging with. What a fun time & a great way to spend the weekend.
ReplyDeletedeb, your boys are SO handsome! i bet they both are the love of women.
ReplyDeleteinteresting captures and composition.
Wonderful photos, Deb! Your boys certainly are handsome! We've been having some spring-like weather here in PA also. Even my daffodils are popping up already! I'm still waiting for Old Man Winter to make his return. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of your boys, Deb. You can tell they are close. :)
ReplyDeletei swear, every time you post them, they look more like men...
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that they let you shoot them a lot! Perhaps that comes with maturity and I can count on my boys to do that when they're older?? Well, maybe not since my husband is 37 and he never lets me take a picture of him!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely fabulous photos. I especially like the action shot. You nailed it with the dof and catching them at just a perfect moment. Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteYou have some handsome boys there Deb. I wish my kids were willing to be my photographic subjects. But I don't like to have my picture taken and that has rubbed off on them :(
ReplyDeleteYou have brought up some handsome young men! (I'm sure they're loving all these comments about them...) And how sweet of them to be so patient with you - the pictures are FABULOUS.
ReplyDeleteOh I love their smiles! What handsome boys you have! I love these and you should totally frame the one of the two of them together! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, Deb! Your boys are good, my kids will only get photographed if it involves photo bombing one of my other pictures. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are that they will even pose for you! My two want nothing to do with the camera and it's just so frustrating! Now if it has something to do with sports then my son is all about that! ha
ReplyDeleteThese are all sooo fabulous! Wondering what lens you shot with?
Great shots - they are quite cooperative, which is so nice to see (mine aren't as cooperative!). It has been such a mild winter, so bring on spring!
ReplyDeleteThe weather really has been awesome this winter! Looks like they're having lots of fun. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally need to be framed! Definitely stellar work!

ReplyDeleteHow sweet that they let you take some shots. They have learned to pose well for you. I guess it is from all of the practice. lol.
ReplyDeleteI was blog hopping and found your site. I browsed a bit and am impressed by your photos. I really liked the shots at the plantation and dew/ice on the grass. Perhaps, I'll link up sometime. I've just had my DSLR for a year, since I had my sweet Baby Girl. I'm learning, slowly, and enjoying it greatly. I'm hoping to learn some things from your blog too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I'm wondering if you used the same lens for all the photos and which one it was if you don't mind sharing!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I have no email for you, but if you come back I wanted to let you know I used my 85mm 1.8 for all of these shots! If you have any other questions just email me (the envelope at the top right) and I'll be glad to answer you directly.
