It's time to share my favorite photos of Alec and Mason from the first quarter of the year. This time only the first one was taken with my dslr. The rest are iphone instagram pics. I am a lucky mom to have boys that humor me with my photography obsession. Thanks, guys, for putting up with my frequent, "just one more" request. :)
I love this idea! You have two very handsome boys with such beautiful smiles. Also your photo's are very lovely!

ReplyDeleteA lucky Mom indeed! I love that first one...beautiful light! And they are very handsome boys. Your instagram photos are always amazing, how do you get them so sharp??
ReplyDeletesuch handsome young me. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Especially love the instagram ones.
ReplyDeletethat was MEN!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Deb- what handsome young men you have! I really love that first one. That bond is incredible.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and gorgeous guys you have! well done deb! And good for you for continuing to document their everyday - it's so easy to stop when they get big, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYour boys are so handsome - I really love that first shot. Great capture!
ReplyDeleteYour iphone photos are so sharp and clear. I feel like mine come out shaky and blurred. Maybe I need some more "iPhotography" practice!
ReplyDeleteHaving good light and making sure you're still (or your subject is still) are the only things I can think of that help with the sharpness. I also sharpen the images after they are sized for web so that helps too.

DeleteHow do you sharpen a photo on the computer?
DeleteIn photoshop, I use the unsharp mask. The settings I use are for images that have been sized for web viewing at 725 pixels on the long side. I click on filter, sharpen, unsharp mask and enter 500% for the amount, .2 pixels for the radius and 0 for the threshold. I believe these steps are similar if you have photoshop elements. Also I do this step on a duplicate layer so I can decrease the opacity or mask out some of the sharpness in certain areas if needed. I hope this makes sense!
DeleteDelicious, these portraits radiate ease and good cheer.
