this or that thursday: in the woods

We had a nice weekend at the state park. The cousins had a great time hanging out together... walking on trails, sitting by the campfire, seeing who could stay on a log the longest... just all kinds of fun. And I loved getting to take a lot of my favorite type of photos - candids.

project life: week 42

Finally I had the chance to work on my project life again after a busy couple of weeks! This was a week from October when the highlight of the week was going to McDonald's for breakfast. :) My spread turned out so bright and happy which I love! I mixed in some Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go and some Studio Calico Heyday this time.

25 days - a class at studio calico

The class for December at Studio Calico is called 25 Days and will be taught by Maggie Holmes. It's all about creating a December Daily, a mini book about your holiday season. I'm very excited to be contributing to this class and I've been working hard on my album!

Maggie will be sharing a video tutorial on her album cover and daily updates on her album. Throughout the month the contributors will be sharing tips and tricks and some of our finished pages. Students will also have access to some awesome printables and digital cut files from Ali Edwards, Kinsey Wilson, Marcy Penner, France Wisniewski and Geralyn Sy. Here's a look at just some of digital files you'll get on December 1st when the class starts! The deadline for signing up is November 30. The class is $19 and you can sign up here if you want to join in!

My favorite is this brilliant envelope cut file by Marcy Penner. I've already cut it and added it to my album and it worked perfectly for including a bit of ephemera!

It's going to be a fun class! I hope you'll join us and make a December Daily mini book of your own!

this or that thursday: autumn leaves

I'm sharing some more autumn colors today since it's actually starting to feel like autumn around here with lows in the 30s the last couple nights... just in time for Thanksgiving. These are the leaves on my crepe myrtles... they are always so very lovely this time of year. And I love that the second one looks like a little heart.

project life: weeks 40 and 41

Once again, I decided to combine two weeks into one spread. It was a really busy couple of weeks and I didn't take photos every single day, at least not photos that I wanted to include. I'd rather combine weeks than fill up my album with photos that mean nothing to me or that I don't like so much. :)
