minibook: utah vacation

Minibooks are so much fun to make! I really should make them more often. This book is about our summer vacation to Utah last year. Vacations are one of my favorite things to scrap because they are such good memories.

I made the cover by cutting some thin chipboard to 6" square. I then cut cardstock to 6.25" square. The chipboard was placed between two pieces of cardstock and sewn all the way around the edges. The cover was easy to decorate... just some favorite washi tapes and some alphas and embellishments from Studio Calico Here & There.

The inside pages are mostly 6" square with a few smaller pages. Most of the photos were printed at 3.75x3", plus a few were printed as full size pages. I punched two holes on each page and used 1.5" rings to hold the book together. I used papers, stamps and embellishments from all three of the new Studio Calico collections - Here & There, Snippets and Sundrifter. Here's a look inside.

One more thing that I want to add is an envelope to the inside of the back cover. I'll keep little bits of ephemera we collected on the trip inside.

Most of the supplies that I used to create this book are from the Studio Calico collections, but a few items came from past Studio Calico kits. I've linked up below the products that are available now.

  14. This album is stunning in its simplicity. I love the clean and fresh look of it, a lot of albums are kind of overdone where the embellishments overpower the photos. Love this!
