scrapbook layout: here at the beach

We just got back from the beach a few days ago, and I've made my first beach layout! The colors of the Valley High kits worked perfectly with the lovely colors in my photo. We went to Destin, and this year the water was greener than I've ever seen it. Now I understand why the area is nicknamed The Emerald Coast!

Here's an example of what I'm talking about... 

See what I mean?! The water was gorgeous and we loved every minute of this beach trip!!

Here's the layout I made with a variety of the Valley High kits and add ons.

You might notice that extra little piece of patterned paper under the noteworthy tag - that's because I added some drops of mist there that ended up making the layout too heavy on the bottom so I covered it up and I liked it better this way. The background paper I used is one of my favorites from the July kits, but you wouldn't even know you're getting it from the kit photos. It's the back of the blue triangle paper in the Matthew add on. I love the subtle blue circles all over the page.  The "& then" card is from the Project Life kit... so fun using my leftover cards on layouts. The stamped words - adventure, summer and sunshine are from the card kit stamp set. I also used the cute circle stamps from the Molly add on which is unfortunately sold out. If you really wanted those stamps you could create something very similar with the stamp brushes available here.
