scrapbook layout: happiest with you

I made one more layout last weekend for NSD! This one was with my Studio Calico Office Hours scrapbook kit. When I started this layout, the main things I knew I wanted to use were the awesome flower sequins and the bright blue alphas. I found this photo of my guys that just happened to have the same blue color, and the layout came together very quickly from there - another page in less than an hour!

I've been making a point lately to choose different stamp sets to use on my layouts. I have so many amazing stamps from Studio Calico, and they really are my favorite scrapbooking product so I'm trying to make sure I get some use out of them. Plus, I love what they add to a page! All of my stamping on this layout was done with Color Theory Coral Bay ink

scrapbook layouts from NSD

I celebrated National Scrapbook Day last Saturday by joining in a chat at Studio Calico, helping a friend get started in Project Life (yay!!), and of course - lots of scrapping! I have two layouts to share today. I am happy to say each layout only took me about an hour to complete. I made a conscious effort to make decisions faster, and to stop staring at the page for hours wondering what to do. :) It seems to be working for now... I just hope it lasts because the faster I am, the more I can make, and the more cute supplies I can actually use instead of store!

This layout was created mainly with the Studio Calico Bluegrass Farm scrapbook kit. I used what I consider to be my favorite photo of my boys, but I said "may be" in the title because that could change at any moment...

I was happy to have the chance to use some of my Studio Calico Printshop collection for this one. I used an older photo of Mason with our dog. I did some misting with Mister Huey Water Cooler and stamping using some new and older stamps with Color Theory Orange County.

Hope you enjoyed your NSD too!

studio calico: bluegrass farm layouts

I love all sorts of paper crafting, but my favorite will always be making scrapbook layouts. This week I opened my Bluegrass Farm scrapbook kit and the Pip add on and made a couple layouts.

I used mostly the Bluegrass Farm scrapbook kit for this one about playing football during our weekend at a state park last year. I decided when I started this one that I wasn't going to spend too much time thinking like I usually do. I glued things down as I went along, and ended up finishing this layout in only an hour... probably a record for me! I totally forgot I had already scrapped this photo, but I like this layout better than the other one anyway. :)

I scrapped my favorite photo from Alec's prom for this next one using the Bluegrass Farm scrapbook kit and the Pip add-on.

I'm planning on some more scrapping this weekend to celebrate National Scrapbook Day. Check out the fun challenges that will be posted on the Studio Calico blog!
