I created a cut file for one of the cards I made recently so I want to share it with all of you! The cut file creates a 4.5" square card front with a 3" square window. It's set to cut on a 6" square background because I used paper from my card kit paper pad, but you can easily adjust it to cut on 12x12 paper by clicking on the page tools icon in the top right corner of the Silhouette software. Download the file here.
I used the cut file with my favorite patterned paper that is included in the Poet Society card kit. I adhered the patterned paper to a white 4.5" square card base. There are lots of options for decorating the inside of the window. I used the circles stamp set with my color theory inks in well red, clean slate and sunny day.
Hope you enjoy the cut file, and I hope you have fun making something!
Hey everyone! I have a few projects to share made with the Studio Calico September kits today! I made two handbook spreads, one regular Project Life spread and four cards this month. I worked with the Poet Society card kit, cactus stamp set, circles stamp set, Poet Society Project Life kit, and the Oliver and Yeats add ons. Be sure to check out the creative team gallery for lots of inspiration for all of this month's kits!
I also want to share that new color theory ink pads are in the shop! Yay!! The greens are so pretty, and what an awesome shade of blue! Plus now I'll finally have a shade of purple that's just right!!
Okay, now here's a look at what I made this month...
Only a few more hours until subscriber reveal at Studio Calico! Subbers can shop at noon Eastern tomorrow, and everyone else can shop the kits and add-ons 12 hours later. Until then I have some sneaks to share of the cards and project life spreads I made. Or you can check out the sneaks page at Studio Calico. I'll be back soon after reveal to share the full projects. :)
Just following Emily Spahn's lead! She's awesome and has such a fun scrapbooking style. She challenged others to search on pinterest for their own layouts that had been pinned. In her words..
I posted ten of my favorite old layouts on my blog and I thought it might be something cool for people to do. I know we often get so wrapped up in our current projects that we sometimes forget to go back and look at the old stuff!!
I can definitely use some extra inspiration because I haven't made a layout all summer long, but next week I'm planning on getting busy! So I decided to search for my favorite layouts from the past, and I might just scraplift a few next week if I get stuck. I started making layouts again in early 2012 and I'm reposting my ten favorites since then here. If you want to play along, link up your post in this thread at Studio Calico.
