snowflake christmas tree

Pinterest was the source of inspiration for today's card. I found this lovely decorated envelope with a Christmas tree made out of snowflakes. I used a variety of snowflakes from different stamp sets in shades of green along with some gold stars and a touch of red. The sentiment banner is from a Mama Elephant stamp set that was available at Studio Calico a few years ago called Cinnamon Spice.

Hope you all are enjoying your holiday card making as much as me! I made two more last night after returning from a weekend trip. I'll try to get a few more photographed to share later this week!

mama elephant alpine carolers

Hello everyone! It's been forever since I've shared anything, but I have been quite busy making cards! I'm happy I made the decision to quit all creative teams this year. It's nice that now I only craft when I'm really in the mood, and I get to use whatever supplies I want.

Christmas is the most inspiring season of all, and definitely the most fun time for card making. At last count I've made 22 Christmas cards! I'll be sharing some of them over the next few weeks here on my blog and on instagram.

I purchased the Alpine Carolers stamp set last year, and I finally took the time to use this cute set on two cards.

For the first card, I used the entire little family with the awesome sentiment that is a quote from the movie, Elf. The family is colored with colored pencils. The background snow was created with texture paste and a stencil from Simon Says Stamp.

On the second card, I used only the little girl with the Lawn Fawn polaroid die. She's colored with copics, and the background patterned paper is also from Lawn Fawn.
